Mindfulness & Meditation

The practice of mindfulness, a core teaching in Buddhism, originates from vipassana meditation, which is thought to be one of the oldest Buddhist meditation techniques.

The primary aim of mindfulness is gaining insight into the nature of reality and achieving liberation through self-inquiry & collective understanding. Vipassana is a meditation technique of self-observation (breath, body, mind) without attachment.

Meditation is for those willing to engage in a consistent spiritual practice. Benefits can include ease of mind, integration of mind-body-soul, clarity & understanding, stress reduction, relaxation, and collective liberation. Each individual is unique, each experience is unique.

Alaska's meditation practice began in 2020 and continues to be part of her daily routine. Alaska completed a 100-hour Mindfulness Teacher Training in 2026, studying the origins of meditation from early Buddhist teachings.

Meditation circles (15 min & 30 min) are offered online and in-studio.
